Athletics are an important part of a student's life during school hours as well as after school hours. Physical education and athletics teach students invaluable life lessons related to individual disciplines, sportsmanship and team building skills while teaching skills and rules that are necessary and apply to daily life. They also provide guidelines for fitness, exercise, and health. At Lyndon, students have two Physical Education classes per week and at least one free choice recreation period per day. Students are also given the opportunity to participate in activities such as golf, tennis, soccer, tae kwon do, dance, cheerleading, and running as extra-curricular after school activities.
While Lyndon is currently serving mostly primary grades, we will soon be entering the exciting arena of Middle School athletics. As we continue to add grade levels, we will be exploring the options of conference competition, leagues and other competitive sporting opportunities.
