While Lyndon Academy incorporates teaching methods and systems from some of the best institutions in the nation, we strongly believe that children have far more potential then anticipated in general. Children are hungry for knowledge, and schools usually lack the personnel, curriculum and instruction necessary to feed that hunger on a national level. At Lyndon, the challenges are unlimited, but we also firmly believe in teaching a love of learning. We will never put a child in a position that will diminish those hunger pains.
This proven curriculum is modeled after the two states, Massachusetts and New York, that lead the nation in sending the most children on to college. The major difference in these fifty plus year proven standards is that we pushed the standards a year ahead. Our kindergartners, after completing our junior kindergarten program, will happily pass national first grade entrance exams on the second day of school. Our 3rd grade students are successfully working out of 4th grade national version text books. Then fine arts and two foreign languages are added to this core curriculum to provide a uniquely dynamic and challenging education. The result: our students breeze through the Stanford Achievement Tests (the most widely utilized test among private schools nationally) averaging in the top 10% in the nation annually.
