Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten Parents

My husband and I had always known that our children would attend private school. When our daughter was ready for pre-K, we explored our options in the Atlanta area, and toured several schools. The recommendation of a friend brought us to Lyndon Academy. After meeting with Mrs. Linda Murdock, and touring the school, we were convinced that this was the right place for our children.

Our daughter, who is not a morning person, jumps out of bed every day, excited about going to school and learning. Our son started this year at Lyndon Academy. At his other school, he had constantly been in trouble for not listening and following directions. His behavior has completely changed because of his desire to remain at Lyndon.

The philosophy of Lyndon is to teach the children a lifetime love of learning, which is evident in our children. People often compliment us on how well behaved and well spoken our children are. We believe this is due to the environment of Lyndon, where the children are taught critical thinking, the ability to verbalize this, and the necessity of hard work to achieve success in the future.

The atmosphere of Lyndon reflects the staff's dedication to teaching, and love of the children. We are very happy that our children are at Lyndon Academy, and have and will continue to highly recommend the school to all of our friends and family.

My son has thrived at Lyndon Academy. He absolutely loves going to school every day. I see a dramatic difference in his vocabulary and cognitive thinking skills compared to his peers outside of school. The staff at Lyndon Academy is devoted and absolutely dedicated to providing a quality education, and they are genuinely excited to see the progress of the students.

As graduates of Georgia Public Schools my wife and I knew how difficult it could be to get quality education. We had both had less than stellar memories of our own educational experiences, and with that in mind we went looking for a private school for our first child hoping to provide a better foundation than we had been given. After looking into many of the schools that are in our area we found exactly what we were looking for in Lyndon Academy.

At first glance it was just another Pre-K program, but after touring the facility and speaking with Mrs. Murdock we were hooked and did not need to go back to the other schools for a second look! The curriculum is outstanding, the teachers and faculty are excellent, and the results are absolutely amazing. When we tell people that we pay for Junior Kindergarten, we are sometimes asked why we would pay for Pre-K when we could get the same thing for free. We can only say to those people that free is not always as good as it sounds.

Our son has progressed so much in the last 5 months at Lyndon Academy that I could not possibly list it all. He has learned about farms, nutrition, and the environment (he even explained chlorophyll to me and how it works... At 4 years old!). After learning all of his letters and their sounds he is starting to learn to read. He is learning to recognize all of his numbers (not just 1-10 or 1-20). And they are teaching him to speak a second language along side of his other subjects! I cannot express in words how glad we are that we have found a school that our child loves to experience every day and that we are proud to send him to.

Our daughter is in Junior-Kindergarten at Lyndon Academy. We have been extremely pleased with her progress. Her academic skill level is noticeably above that of peers who attend public pre-k and kindergarten. WE are very pleased with the quality of the education she is receiving. We would highly recommend Lyndon Academy to parents looking for a private school in the North Atlanta area.

My daughter has attended Lyndon Academy for a month now. She loves it and really seems to thrive there! The confidence level in my daughter has improved tremendously! I never have a problem getting her motivated to go to school because she cannot wait to get there. I can tell that the children really come first at Lyndon Academy. We moved our daughter to Lyndon Academy last March and she has been thriving ever since. She is full of confidence and looks forward to school each day. She is immersed in a well rounded, educationally rich environment. The students are exposed to many things we did not see in her other school. Hands on experiments and centers, piano in music class, a fabulous Spanish program as well as a garden to go along with their living science units. I am grateful to find a quality school that is keeping the students first and striving not only to educate the students, but to help them develop into well rounded citizens.
