| Lyndon Academy Elementary: K - 5 |
|
Students are taught a life long love of learning at Lyndon Academy. While the course work is challenging, it is also motivating and fun. (See student work samples to the right.) Click here for a sample of elementary performance standards. Each grade has an eight period class schedule, and each class lasts approximately 45 minutes. (Note that this type of program is cost prohibitive to most schools. At Lyndon the emphasis is on quality.) Students move from one room to another for each class very much like a high school learning environment. The movement keeps students active, alert, stimulated, and productive. The ability to retain more knowledge than the norm is due in part to the unique delivery of education at Lyndon Academy. Teachers teach the subjects that they love and that passion translates to a better learning environment. Students are also more stimulated by the differences in each classroom, keeping them alert and active. While kindergarten students are offered Spanish daily, 1st grade students and older are offered a trilingual language arts education. They are taught English, Mandarin and Spanish daily. While these three languages are the most functional in our global society, the art of learning these languages will have a significant impact on critical thinking and reasoning. Students will have a decided advantage and multiple opportunities in our global economy after graduation.
