Our Mission
Lyndon Academy is committed to the diverse education of our youth, the cultivation of leaders, and the extensive development of the whole child in preparation for college and beyond.
The future is our priority.
Our Vision
Lyndon Academy is a premier college-preparatory independent school which strives to develop well rounded, confident, respectful individuals, releasing them into the world as independent leaders.
Our History
In 2005, Linda Murdock, with the help of her family, founded Lyndon Academy in the metro Atlanta area. She wanted to build an elite private international school. To get started, a small day care building was purchased and renovated on Highway 92 in Woodstock with the idea that the facility would serve only as a temporary stepping stone.
A pilot program for Junior Kindergarten students that incorporated Spanish daily and the rotating class system in the first scholastic year validated the ideas and found of the program here in Georgia. Each year thereafter, Lyndon added a grade.
In the Spring of 2007, Lyndon Academy earned its SACS-CASI accreditation status. The growth and foreseeable growth necessitated the relocation and expansion of
Lyndon Academy.
Ground was broken in April of 2009 on Phase I of a multi-phase and multi-site project that will ultimately take Lyndon to the 12th grade by the 2018-19 scholastic year.
In 2019, Lyon held its first graduation ceremony. While the class of 2019 was only four students, they crossed a grand stage and amassed just over $340,000 in college scholarship offers.
