beyond the classroom
BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

Lyndon Academy values strong partnerships with families and encourages parent involvement in ways that support students at every stage. Families are welcome to participate in campus life through classroom activities, events, volunteering opportunities, and other school programs as schedules allow.
To support ongoing communication, Lyndon Academy uses Sycamore, an online system that allows parents to stay connected beyond campus. Through Sycamore, families can communicate with teachers, monitor grades, participation, and discipline, and stay informed about assignments, classwork, and upcoming events, all in near real time.

Field trips are an integral part of the learning experience at Lyndon Academy. Off-campus experiences extend classroom learning and allow students to engage with subjects in meaningful, hands-on ways.
Students visit a wide range of locations throughout the year, with programs selected to complement current coursework and areas of study. These experiences are designed to provide access, exploration, and real-world context beyond what can be replicated on campus.

Students may have the opportunity to participate in overnight travel experiences designed to extend learning beyond the classroom. These trips provide immersive opportunities that connect academic study with real-world exploration.
Overnight travel experiences vary by year and are offered on a rotating basis. While overnight trips involve an additional cost, day trips are included in tuition. Destinations and programs are selected to provide meaningful, enriching experiences aligned with curricular goals.

Lyndon Academy does not operate a traditional cafeteria. Students may bring lunch from home or participate in Schoolhouse Fare, an online lunch ordering service that partners with local restaurants.
Schoolhouse Fare offers a rotating, limited menu that families can order in advance, with meals delivered directly to campus. This flexible model allows families to choose the option that best fits their needs.
