Hiring Protocols

All Applicants must complete an application which includes consent for fingerprinting and background checks. The consent allows Lyndon Academy to receive any criminal background history from the state and federal level pertaining to an employee at any time.

Applicants’ residency and identity will be verified.

Social media content will be reviewed.

Applicants will be verified and checked in the Public School Certification portal.

References will be checked.

The three best candidates will be selected for interviews.

Candidates will interview with the Assistant Head of School first.

If the above meeting goes well, an applicant will be invited to meet with a panel of three to five Lyndon professionals alongside the Assistant Head.

If the majority of that panel recommends offering the applicant a position, then the Assistant Head of School takes that recommendation to the Head of School.

A final meeting is scheduled with the Head of School, who has the final decision to make an offer.
