COMMUNITY SERVICE

Service as Part of Student Growth

Lyndon Academy Community Service.jpg

Community service and the philosophy of paying it forward are introduced in the lower grades and become a graduation requirement in Upper School. Lyndon Academy asks high school students to complete 60 hours of community service prior to graduation.

Through service, students engage with their community in meaningful ways and gain an understanding of responsibility, compassion, and civic involvement. Opportunities may include fundraising efforts, food drives, environmental projects, and other hands-on initiatives that support those in need.

Students may choose to pursue an independent cause or participate in service paths supported by Lyndon Academy. The school partners with a variety of organizations each year, including those that support youth and individuals who serve and protect our community.

Some of the organizations Lyndon has supported are as follows:

• Anna Crawford Children's Center • Camp Invention • Cherokee County Fire Department • Cherokee County Sheriff's Office • Various Food Drives • Friends of Holly Springs Police Foundation • Goshen Valley Boys Ranch • Holly Springs Shop with a Hero • MUST Ministries • Northside Children's Hospital • The Salvation Army
